My name is Sam, and this is the story of BQC. Brocklehurst Quality Computing started when I was looking to buy a USB button box for my flight-sim setup, and was suprised at how expensive even 3D printed units were. In an attempt to figure out why, I went ahead and built my own... I still don't have the answer. So I put together the Starter Box MK1 and posted it for less than any button box wit a key availible at the time - the rest is history.
A lot of businesses talk a lot about Ethics. We aren't interested in the Corporate spiel you've already heard a thousand times.
Let's start with some honesty, and somethng most businesses won't admit - despite it always being true - we like money. If we didn't, we'd setup a charity. Really we just want a little extra pocket money to spend on 20+ year old cars without impacting our life plans. We're not looking to get rich.
Business that have to screw people over to succeed have effectively failed - rather than high profit margins, we choose lower prices and significant amounts invested into the business and community projects. Any community projects we work on will be public.
We generally don't accept custom commissions or product suggestions - as we work on this in our spare time and thus can't confidently implement any of these in a reasonable timeframe. However, we're always prepared to hear you out, and we will generally do something if it has limited cost/time implications.
